Previous studies have reported differences between the remote sensing based crop planting estimations and those reported by ground observations for example hmimina et al 2013 found the differences were 105 and 242 days between the crop phenological dates derived from the modis daily and 16 day products respectively. This paper presents the spatiotemporal monitoring crop stress in the first period of wheat phenology by satellite image in northern mongolia we used 2 satellite images landsat8 that are dated . Remote sensing data sets and geospatial data sets refer to the indispensable data sources to conduct ecological vulnerability assessment liu et al 2016 song et al 2015 whereas the mentioned data are criticized for their commonly observed spatial autocorrelation effects and spatial heterogeneity jiang 2014 spiker and warner 2007 . Remote sensing based land use differentiation between grass and cropland is challenging because of strong spectral similarities between the land use classes and high intra class spectral variability related to spatio temporal dynamics in phenology and land management schuster et al 2015.
